Siena

The city is universally known for its artistic heritage and for the substantial stylistic unity of its medieval street furniture, as well as for its famous Palio. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

To visit the city is best to start from Piazza del Duomo, where the majestic Cathedral, rich in frescoes and statues and a fine, one of the largest and finest examples of a complex of marble inlay, a decorative project that lasted six centuries, from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century. As for the factory of the cathedral, even the floor is intertwined inextricably with the same history of the city and its art: why the centuries the Sienese have spared no resources for its creation before and for its preservation then. Consisting of more than sixty scenes, it is generally covered in the most frequented areas of masonite sheets, except once a year, for about two months, between late August and late October
